This photo is from my last adventure at the Cosumnes River Preserve before going into self-quarantine ten weeks ago. Because I've put my adventures on hold in the hopes of staying safe and healthy, you might not see any new posts or videos from me for a while. I hope the Vaughn the Road Again hiatus isn't going to be a long one and I hope to get out exploring beautiful Northern California sooner rather than later. Be safe, friends!

Virtual Walk ↔ Cosumnes River Preserve ↔ River Walk and Wetlands Walk

The Cosumnes River Walk is a 3-mile dirt trail that starts and ends at the visitor center. This diverse trail will take you through buttonbush thickets, native grasslands, valley oak riparian forest, cottonwood-willow riparian forest, tule marsh, and valley oak savannah.

The Lost Slough Wetlands Walk is a one-mile trail that also starts and ends at the visitor center. Enjoy a variety of birds, wildflowers and spectacular views from the paved path and wooden boardwalk...

Cosumnes River Preserve ↔ Exploring the River Walk Nature Trail

The Cosumnes River Walk is a 3-mile dirt trail that starts and ends at the visitor center. During our visit in early-March, we saw many different birds (which you can see at Wings and Daydreams), colorful wildflowers (photos at Wildflower Wednesday), and enjoyed the diverse trail that took us through buttonbush thickets, native grasslands, valley oak riparian forest, cottonwood-willow riparian forest, tule marsh, and valley oak savannah.
